Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products with a major facility in Southington, CT. The company is hiring a Material Handler to move materials, issue and stock parts, and perform cycle counts on raw materials.

The role runs on the 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate will have SAP experience or familiarity with automated systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand shipping and packing lists, etc.
• Must have adequate computer skills to comprehend and operate related automated systems.
• Strong attention to detail including accurate cycle counting skills.
• Heavy lifting, driving a forklift and handling pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials.
• Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines.
• Cycle counting of raw materials as required.
• Proper picking and loading of finished goods.
• Assures finished goods are accurately loaded and handled with care.
• Assures manufacturing loads are accurate and properly combined.
• Assures scrap material is properly weighed and prepared for pick up.
• Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay starts at $19.50

Shift: 1st shift M-F from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, overtime as designated

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for proper movement of all materials

· Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines
