Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division seeks a Material Handler - 1st Shift to support shipping and warehousing for the El Paso, TX team. The role focuses on assembly, order picking, and shipping with the goal of timely order fulfillment and strict quality adherence.

The job requires forklift operation, RF scanning, and familiarity with ERP systems. The position runs Monday through Thursday with a 5:00am–3:45pm schedule and is eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift to join the El Paso, TX team!

The hourly rate for this position is $16.76 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Shift: 5:00am-3:45pm, Monday-Thursday

Position Overview:

The Material Handler will provide shipping and warehousing expertise to support in all areas of the Switchboard Team including, but not limited to, assembly, order picking, and shipping and receiving parts, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.

In this function, you will:

• Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.
• Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton’s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process. Perform quality checks as instructed.
• Receive and process material kitting orders promptly to execute production schedules
• Complete inventory transactions and ensure accuracy
• Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment safely and competently. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.
• Own and lead 5S process and discipline for assigned warehouse area
• Receive and process incoming raw materials and ensure the inventory process is followed correctly
• Prepare finished products for final shipment including packaging, documentation, and loading, and ensure on-time delivery
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), order pickers, automatic pallet wrappers and pallet jack
• Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred:

• Two or more years of warehouse experience in an industrial environment.
• Two years or more of forklift operation experience (sit-down/standup).
• Minimum of six months of work experience with an RF Scanner.

Position Criteria:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of AS400, VISTA, and MAPICS systems.
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous process improvements.
• Ability to lift. push, and pull up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to squat and reach above the head with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to physically operate a forklift with or without reasonable accommodation
