Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Material Handler-1st Shift at our Dallas, TX location!

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mandatory overtime may occasionally be required.

What You’ll Do

The Material Handler will move materials throughout the distribution center via receiving, restocking, picking, packing, and shipping to enable the site to process customer orders.

In this role, you will:

• Retrieve appropriate styles & quantities of material from warehouse locations using proper picking processes. Place materials in containers, visually inspect, verify with scanning equipment if required, and ensure accuracy of product count. Use these skills to restock/replenish as well.
• Unload and stage pallets of materials in appropriate areas of Receiving. Use packing slips to generate move tickets, breakdown material, sort styles, verify count, and restock warehouse locations using RF scanners.
• Verify styles and quantities of picked materials. Visually inspect products, scan, and place in shipping cartons. Minimize potential damage during shipping with proper packing materials. Attach packing lists, content labels, and shipping labels as needed.
• Resolve discrepancies by researching all possible solutions to ensure order accuracy.
• Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts, and perform work of equal or lower classification if necessary.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months experience with a stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, cherry picker, or reach truck.
• No relocation benefit is offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Dallas, TX, unless active-duty military.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
• ERP experience (SAP).

• Good judgment handling materials with a focus on safety.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, cross-train, and adapt to different areas or plants as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, with inherent lifting, bending, and squatting.
• Professional attitude, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
