Tekni-Plex is hiring a Material Handler to join our on-site operations in Dublin, VA. You will operate a forklift and clamp truck to move freight, stock, and materials across storage and production areas, following work orders and safety procedures.

Daily tasks include labeling containers, recording units moved on production sheets, and helping with loading and unloading. This role supports our global manufacturing services and offers stable full-time employment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift and clamp truck to move freight and materials.
• Ability to read work orders and determine material needs.
• Record units moved using production sheets or tickets.
• Sort cargo and assemble containers using basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Move freight to/from storage, production areas, loading docks, and vehicles.
• Attach identifying tags to containers and mark with information.
• Read work orders or instructions to determine work assignments.
• Record numbers of units moved on production sheets or work tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading/unloading and assemble product containers.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage and return after use.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for using a forklift, and a clamp truck to manually move freight, stock, or other materials and/or perform other general labor as required.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Assemble product containers or crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
