Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor and/or Department Supervisor, the Material Handler maintains the distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory. Responsibilities include loading and unloading, delivering production materials and supplies to the production floor, staging finished products in designated inventory locations, and general housekeeping following Pregis policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate a forklift to stage materials, load trucks, unload trucks, and transfer materials within the plant and departments as needed.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording their locations, and preparing finished stock for shipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve work environment and communicate professionally.
• Perform related duties as assigned or required.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong organization, time management, and safety management skills.
• Experience operating a forklift and managing inventory control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following standardized work instructions.

Qualifications and/or Experience:

• Minimum 1+ year of sit-down forklift experience.
• Minimum 1+ year of inventory control experience.
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Environment:

• Indoor work with exposure to moving equipment, heat, humidity, and noise.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment required.

Physical Characteristics:

• Frequent standing, stooping, sitting; occasional lifting, pushing, pulling.
