Material Handler - Night Shift

Job summary

Pregis-3 is seeking a Material Handler to move materials between the production floor and inventory, as well as stage finished goods for shipment. The role requires operating a sit-down forklift, maintaining FIFO inventory, and supporting a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

The position reports to the Shift Supervisor and follows a nights schedule (7 PM–7 AM) with overtime as needed; prior experience in inventory control and SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience.
• 1+ years of inventory control experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unloading trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.
• Keep Safety at the forefront of the team’s thinking and approach to work.
• Communicate and ensure all safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assists to maintain a safe, well organized FIFO controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice.
• Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling and securing product in correct location.
• Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and communicating ways to improve the work environment.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor and or Department Supervisor the Material Handler maintains distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory; loading and unloading; delivering production materials and supplies to production floor; staging finished product in designated inventory location; general housekeeping in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.

Classification: Full-Time-Hourly

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Shifts: Nights-7p-7PM based on a 2-2-3 schedule (overtime as needed based on business needs)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unloading trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.

Qualifications and/or Experience:

• 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience
• 1+ years of inventory control experience
• Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management software (ex. SAP) is a plus!
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Exposure to moving equipment
