Description
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour based on experience
Under the guidance of the Materials Supervisor, the Material Handler I (MH1) performs daily stockroom duties, including safe handling of materials and equipment, cycle counting, receipt of incoming materials, and picking and issuing kits to support assembly schedules or customer requirements as directed by the Materials Supervisor or Stock Team Leader.
Role and Responsibilities
- Complete daily cycle counts accurately and timely.
- Pick, label, and issue material via ERP system for job orders to support manufacturing, global manufacturing requirements, or customer orders.
- Transact incoming material into stock, verifying counts, storage location, and packaging.
- Provide material to customers in a usable, properly packaged form.
- Understand and apply Kanban principles for scanning, filling, and delivering Kanban bins.
- Perform location audits for inventory validation as needed.
- Maintain an organized and 6S compliant workplace through daily activities.
- Complete transactions in assigned zones and collaborate with team members.
- Report issues to Group Leader or supervisor promptly.
- Work safely, reporting unsafe conditions or damages immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in material handling or stockroom in a manufacturing setting.
- Preferred experience with ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
- Willingness to work at heights using ladders or lifts.
