Job summary

United CoolAir, LLC. in York, PA is seeking a Material Handler to join our HVAC manufacturing and logistics team. The role focuses on receiving and inspecting materials, safely unloading shipments, labeling and storing inventory, and preparing items for production and service calls.

Typical duties include maintaining accurate inventory, handling hazardous or temperature-sensitive materials per OSHA, and supporting seasonal shifts and large projects in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming HVAC materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Safely unload delivery vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Label, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare materials for production, service calls, and job site deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and updates in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Handle and store hazardous or temperature‑sensitive materials in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Support seasonal inventory shifts, large project staging, and bulk material coordination.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Follow HVAC-specific handling standards, including proper refrigerant storage and documentation practices.
• Participate in process improvement efforts to increase warehouse efficiency and workflow accuracy.

General Operations Support

• Participate in process improvement efforts aimed at increasing warehouse efficiency and workflow accuracy.
• Assist with special operational or departmental projects as assigned.
• Perform additional duties to support warehouse objectives and overall business needs.
