Job Summary/Overview
This position is responsible for maintaining and accurately reporting the flow of material at both plants including Work-in-Process, Semi-finished Goods and Finished Goods. The employee transfers empty material handling containers to departmental staging areas and services the material handling needs of the production employees at their assigned plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Using dead weights, check scale accuracy every morning.
- Weigh, tag and record inventory transactions for all production, warehouse, and outside processing functions.
- Record inventory movements in CMBIS modules to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Locate store items in proper rack locations.
- Maintain required paperwork.
- Must be able to perform the TPM required for all equipment used in this position.
- Maintain a clean orderly and safe working area.
- Inspect forklift daily
- Perform other duties as required or requested.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Work Instructions, Manufacturing Prints, ABC prints, work-order packets, and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NMR's). Must be able to verbally communicate with other employees, lead persons and supervisors.
- Ability to review production schedule reports to identify and label products during the -weigh-counting operation. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to operate weight-counting scales.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
- Employees will be required to complete training in the operation of the weight counting scales.
- Must have and maintain a valid forklift license.
- Knowledge of Kanban cards, pull systems, and computer data entry is required.
- Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
