Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an expediter/production support role based in Tulsa, OK. You will coordinate with supervision and production teams to prepare, deliver, and distribute parts within the facility, while reviewing schedules and material priorities.

You will record production data, identify expedited requests, and move parts to the next operations. The role involves inventory audits, MRP reconciliation, and generating status reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Tier II airframe assembly concepts and procedures.
  • Knowledge of BQMS processes related to manufacturing, production control, procurement, and quality.
  • Ability to plan and execute diverse, complex tasks using judgment.
  • Ability to keep team informed and draw on others' expertise.
  • Certification to operate forklift and picker.
  • Strong computer skills to query, monitor, and input MRP data.
  • Professional communication and teamwork.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with supervision and production area personnel to prepare, deliver, and distribute parts within the facility.
  • Review production schedules, work orders, materials requirements, and material priorities; coordinate with program/production team members.
  • Record production data including volume, raw material consumption, and quality control in expediting.
  • Identify and prioritize expedited requests with team members.
  • Move parts to next operations.
  • Schedule and conduct inventory counts/audits; troubleshoot; reconcile MRP results; review stock labeling and storage; report downstream requirements.
  • Compile information such as production for status reports; prepare status reports and distribute as required.
  • May perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Coordinate with supervision, and production area personnel as directed, as required to prepare, deliver, and distribute parts within the facility
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, materials requirements, and material priorities. Coordinate priorities with program/production team members
  • Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures used in the expediting process
  • Work with team members to identify and prioritize expedited requests
  • Move parts to next operations
  • Schedule and conduct inventory counts/audits, lead troubleshooting efforts, and reconcile MRP system with results; Review stock labeling and storage; Research and report on anticipated downstream req’ts due to schedule, loss, and change req’ts
  • Compile information such as production so that status reports can be completed
  • Prepare status reports (schedule, labor, etc.) and distribute as required
  • May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • General Tier II level airframe assembly concepts and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of BQMS processes related to manufacturing, production control, procurement, and quality
  • Ability to draw on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a wide variety of complicated tasks
  • Able to keep team members well informed and to draw on other's expertise when required
  • Able to be certified with/and operate a forklift and picker
  • Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input MRP system data
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
  • Good attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
