Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a shop-floor operator to support the molding and parts preparation process. You will operate a hydraulic mold separator, perform fixture and program changes, and conduct minor maintenance as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include quality checks, recording all activities, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and supporting maintenance for more complex tasks.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-directed and motivated.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and following SOPs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with applicable procedure instructions.
  • Meet visual acuity requirements when required.
  • Meet color perception standards when required.
  • Additional training to comply with SOPs/certifications when required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hydraulic mold separator to prepare parts for cut-off.
  • Minor knock-out on some pieces.
  • Set-up machine for new parts (Fixture Change, Program Change).
  • Perform minor maintenance (Nozzle, Orifice Changes, Load garnet, clear plugged nozzles and feed lines).
  • Assist maintenance on more major items.
  • Record maintenance and operating events in log.
  • Inspect each part visually after cut and troubleshoot any problems.
  • Gauge parts as required.
  • Record all work performed in Lot Control.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly and safe.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.
