Summary/Objective

The Material Handler will handle activities related to receipt, inspection, storage, packaging, shipping, and certification of commercial airline engine parts and components. The role involves working in an air-conditioned warehouse, following processes that meet organizational needs, managing issues within the functional area, participating in operational projects, and contributing to the overall business strategy.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  1. Verify that all incoming or outgoing parts/materials/components comply with ISO 9001:2015, ASA-100, and CFM quality standards.
  2. Visually inspect materials and paperwork for defects; sort articles based on defect extent; accurately identify part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities; ensure paperwork matches.
  3. Attach identification data to articles and input part data into the local database.
  4. Record reasons for material rejection and verify trace documentation is complete.
  5. Provide material certification confirming conformance to industry or US specifications.
  6. Assist in loading/unloading and packaging/unpacking shipments.
  7. Respond to internal and external customer requirements, engaging customers both digitally and personally.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Work occurs in an environmentally controlled warehouse, using standard office and warehouse equipment such as computers, phones, forklifts, hand trucks, and tools like box cutters and tape dispensers.

Physical Requirements

Regularly use hands for handling; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and climb; lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity required includes close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

No travel expected for this position.

Additional Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of aviation, logistics, or relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of aircraft components
  • Forklift operation
