Position Details:
- Shift: 2ndShift: Monday - Thursday; 3:00pm - 1:00am
- Pay Range: Up to $25.00/hour (basedupon experience, skill set, and shift)
- 2nd Shift Premium: $2.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Material Handling & Storage:
- Transport and move raw materials (metal sheets, coils, etc.) and coating supplies (paints, chemicals, etc.) to designated production areas.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, forklifts, and other handling equipment.
- Safely store materials in the warehouse, following proper stacking and storage protocols to prevent damage and ensure easy access.
- Ensure materials are labeled correctly and organized based on material types, batch numbers, or production needs.
Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory control by tracking material usage and ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Inventory Control Specialist or Warehouse Supervisor.
- Operate inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software) to update material movements.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation for each transaction.
Production Support:
- Ensure materials are delivered to production lines according to production schedules.
- Prepare materials for production by cutting, measuring, and mixing (if applicable) to meet manufacturing specifications.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure they have the necessary materials available to avoid production delays.
Safety & Quality Control:
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling, storing, and transporting materials, particularly hazardous substances like chemicals or coatings.
- Inspect materials for quality and compliance before they are moved to production areas.
- Report any damaged, expired, or defective materials to the supervisor and follow procedures for proper disposal or return.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and reported for any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Follow all manufacturer guidelines for handling and operating material handling equipment.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, and quality control teams to ensure material needs are met.
- Report any production material shortages or delays that might impact the manufacturing process.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment by following housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience and/or Training:
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in metal or coating production.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of material handling practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to safely handle and store metal materials, chemicals, and coatings.
- Basic math and measurement skills to assist with material preparation and stock counts.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, especially for hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate inventory management systems and maintain accurate records.
Physical and Mental Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move between work areas.
- Regularly required to talk and listen, as well as climb, balance, and reach above shoulder level.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Working Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where loud noise exposure is regular and frequent. Additionally, there is a regular exposure on the production floor to dust, metal debris, changes in ambient temperature, and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
