Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a Germantown, WI facility. This is a 3rd shift role with hours 11:00pm-7:00am and pay at $19.50 per hour, with potential to hire based on performance.

Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting materials, moving items with forklifts, staging for production, and maintaining accurate inventory using WMS/ERP systems while adhering to safety standards and 5S principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and documentation.
• Transport materials to storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Pick, pack, and stage materials for production or shipment.
• Maintain inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow safety guidelines, including OSHA standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to support workflow efficiency.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S or similar workplace standards.

Material Handler Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and shipping documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
• Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment
• Preferred familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Preferred strong communication and teamwork skills
