Job summary

Monroechamber in Franksville, WI is seeking a Material Handler to manage materials from receipt to shipment. The role runs 1st shift, 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a wage of $22.00–$25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include unpacking, inspecting, routing shipments, and maintaining accurate records. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with GMP and MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Position Title: Material Handler

Wage: $22.00 - $25.00/hour

Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Location: Franksville, WI

Responsibilities

• Handle all materials in a safe and orderly manner according to product requirements and standard operating procedures within specified time periods independently
• Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages accurately
• Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
• Load and unload goods from trucks manually and by use of hand trucks and/or forklift
• Pull, weigh and deliver material from exact batch numbers for production with 100% accuracy
• Employ inventory control methods to ensure accurate counts at all times
• Record identifying product information into company database
• Manage outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation to final destination with 100% accuracy

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of receiving experience
• 1-3 years of packing and shipping experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, -and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
