Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Tennessee is seeking a Material Handler to move polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults in the yard and load/unload products for daily shipments. You will read work orders, perform cycle counts, and help keep the yard safe and organized.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, forklift experience, and strong attention to detail. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and capability to work in varied temperatures.

Qualifications

• Inspect and perform maintenance checks on forklift.
• Inspect material, products, or equipment for defects.
• Pick, wrap and stage orders for shipment or storage.
• Maintain accuracy and organization of yard bin locations.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.
• Consolidate pallets as needed.
• Empty dumpsters and scrap bins.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for moving products \"in and out\" of the facility: polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults, from designated storage locations in the yard. Also, the material handler will be responsible for loading products \"onto and off-of\" trucks for daily shipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and guidelines
• Actively participate in company's Continuous Improvement Programs
• Ability to read and interpret Production Work Orders (PWO), Assembly Pick Sheets (Orders), and Bill of Ladings
• Identify safety hazards in the yard and storage locations
• Inspect and perform maintenance checks on the forklift, daily & weekly
• Inspect material, products, or equipment for defects
• Pick, wrap and stage orders for daily shipment or storage
• Maintaining accuracy and organization of yard bin locations
• Perform cycle counts as needed
• Consolidate pallets as needed
• Empty dumpsters and scrap bins
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
