Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a production helper in Tacoma, WA to support machine operators and production teams across maintenance, clean-up, yard work and material handling.

Responsibilities include operating basic machinery, loading/unloading, keeping work areas clean, and performing routine tasks as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate with teammates.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in a repetitive/sequential order.
• Operate machinery such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors or vehicles.
• Clean-up machinery and conveyors; maintain surrounding area; keep equipment debris-free.
• Assist in loading/unloading of trucks.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting designated machine operator or production team in a variety of functions including, but not limited to, maintenance, clean-up, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, material handling, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in a repetitive and/or sequential order for completing tasks assigned
• Operate machinery or equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors, or vehicles
• Clean-up machinery and conveyors, maintain the surrounding area, and keep equipment free of debris during downtime
• Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. from ground level, occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance, if needed
• Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $20 - $23
• Schedule: 10-12 hour shifts M-F
• Vacation hours of two weeks per year
