Job summary

PPG's Sheffield Plant is hiring a Material Handler to support the production line and ensure a quality product is available when customers need it. This role involves moving, packing, sorting raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $17.95 per hour, with Monday–Friday shifts (40 hours). The ideal candidate can lift up to 50 pounds, has warehouse/manufacturing experience, and is willing to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Blend, measure, and produce raw materials to manufacture industrial coatings.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Load & Unload racks of parts, mask and unmask parts, touchup/rework, process rejects, inspect parts coming down lines, operate a hoist where necessary
• Prepare materials and products for packaging and shipment to customers.
• Work in a production environment with the appropriate safety procedures in place.

As a Material Handler you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!
