Job summary

PPG is hiring a full-time Material Handler in Huntsville, AL, to support material handling, inventory processes, and internal customer service tasks on-site. Starting pay is $21.64 per hour, with Mon-Fri 5:30am-2pm shifts, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, potentially operating a stand-up forklift and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires English proficiency, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Prior material handling experience preferred.
• Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to obtain PPG forklift certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass a federal and state criminal background check including MVR prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site material handling duties, including scanning, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and products.
• Review customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to identify items that must be moved, collected, or distributed.
• Transport materials from receiving or production areas to appropriate storage or work areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established sequences (e.g., FIFO).
• Communicate professionally via email and Microsoft Teams; run reports; perform inventory scans; break down pallets; and deliver materials to proper locations.
• Work flexible hours and observe floating holidays based on customer demand.
• Operate stand up forklift as needed

You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and be part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to obtain PPG forklift certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, carry, and reach materials as part of daily work.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends, based on operational needs.
• Must pass a federal and state criminal background check including MVR (motor vehicle record) prior to employment
