Job summary

Atlantic Track is seeking a Material Handler I to join our Richmond, IL team. You will move, pick, pack, and ship materials and parts, supporting first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes safety, accurate shipping logs, and coordination with the production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong customer service experience.
• Understanding of carriers, loads, and freight lanes as well as load limits.
• Familiarity with safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
• On-site work in Richmond, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Move, pick, pack, and ship materials and parts.
• Maintain a Daily Shipping Log and distribute daily to management.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Fulfills pack and ship orders as directed, coordinating with Production.
• Organize the yard to keep a clean, safe environment.

The selected candidate will move, pick, pack, and ship away various materials and parts.This position will support our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.**Roles and Responsibilities:**Maintains a Daily Shipping Log and distributes daily to managementMaintains awareness of regulatory requirement and customer service expectationsEnsures activities in the shipping and receiving department are carried outLoads and unloads trucks using a forkliftFulfills pack and ship orders based on direction from leadership, at times coordinating with the Production teamOrganizes material in the yard to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environmentDisposes of packing material and any other trash that may lie in the yard**Minimum Qualifications:**High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) with strong customer service experienceUnderstanding of types of carriers, loads, and freight lanes as well as load limitsPossesses a good understanding of the essentials for safety in a manufacturing environmentMust have knowledge of basic “shop” math (fractions, decimals, etc.) and be able to read a tape measure down to 1/32nd of an inchAbility to work on-site in Richmond, Illinois**Preferred Qualifications:**Exceptional communication and organizational skillsPrior forklift certificationHigh level of competence using Microsoft programs and other systems used in the QC programAtlantic Track offers a holistic benefits package, including competitive pay, 401k plan with company matching funds, health / dental / vision insurance options, life insurance, paid time off, an employee shared ownership plan, and more.
