For over 60 years, Atlantic Track has put our people first to foster strong teams, products, and services that are second to none.We’re currently seeking a General Laborer I to join our growing team of diverse manufacturing professionals in Memphis, Tennessee.This position will be supporting our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.Roles and Responsibilities:Follows assembly instructionsMindful of all safety and quality protocolOperates forklifts to move and organize rail material in the rail yardAssists other employees, works collaboratively to accomplish goalsTakes initiative by providing input and information to resolve assembly issuesIdentifies delays or barriers such as material shortages or quality issuesHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollows instructions for operating equipment and keeping recordsExecutes assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe mannerMaintains a clean and safe work environmentMinimum Qualifications:Ability to obtain forklift certificationHigh School diploma or GEDMust be able to read a tape measure down to 1/32nd of an inchRegularly sitting on a powered industrial truck, forklift, or other loading equipmentFrequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of timeHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to assess weights and judge distances and heightsAbility to work in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dustAbility to work on-site in Memphis, TennesseePreferred Qualifications:Bilingual English / Spanish language skillsMath, reading, and basic computer skillsValid driver’s license with a clean recent driving recordAtlantic Track offers a holistic benefits package, including competitive pay, 401k plan with company matching funds, health / dental / vision insurance options, life insurance, paid time off, an employee shared ownership plan, and more.
