Job summary

GatesAir in Quincy, IL is seeking a Material Handler to perform the receiving, storing and shipping of parts in a fast-paced environment. You will verify deliveries, label stock, move items to proper locations and pick parts for production and customer orders.

Responsibilities include updating the ERP inventory, preparing customer kits for shipping, and maintaining 5S and safety standards. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with full benefits and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Overtime may be required to meet business needs.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to organize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instruction and work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
• Ability to climb ladders regularly.

Specific duties include but are not limited to

The Material Handler position is responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of material/parts.Ensure all activity is accurately recorded within ERP system. Candidate must be able to conduct work in a professional, safe, and hazard free manner while ensuring a high level of quality control and adhering to material handling precautions for damage/loss prevention.

Primary Duties:

• • Verify accuracy of deliveries.

  • Accurately pick parts for production and customer orders.
  • Accurately pick customer kits and prep for shipping.
  • Perform inventory updates in ERP system for receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.
  • Maintains 5S and safe operating conditions.

Qualifications

• Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift heavy items (40 lbs. on a regular basis) and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders on a regular basis.

  Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 1-3 years prior warehouse experience
  • 2 years experience in use of inventory management system to perform inventory transactions, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliation/ investigations
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience
