Parker Plastics in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support production flow, stage raw materials, verify inventory, and prepare finished goods for storage. This 8‑hour shift role offers a temperature‑controlled environment and opportunities for forklift certification.

You will operate forklifts, assist with material changeovers, maintain housekeeping, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Stage and deliver raw materials to production areas.
• Verify and manage inventory tags and product identification documentation.
• Prepare finished goods for warehouse storage and shipment.
• Return unused raw materials to inventory following established procedures.
• Assist with machine cleaning, material changeovers, and production line support.
• Clear line jams and support downstream production equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards per food safety and audit requirements.
• Support employee safety and food safety initiatives as assigned.
• Collaborate with production team to meet operational goals.

As a Material Handler, you'll play a critical role in maintaining efficient production flow, supporting food safety and quality standards, and helping deliver products our customers can rely on.

What You’ll Do

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Stage and deliver raw materials such as resin, boxes, bags, pallets, and packaging supplies to production areas.
• Verify and manage inventory tags and product identification documentation.
• Prepare finished goods for warehouse storage and shipment.
• Return unused raw materials to inventory following established procedures.
• Assist with machine cleaning, material changeovers, and production line support.
• Clear line jams and support downstream production equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in accordance with food safety and third-party audit requirements.
• Support employee safety and food safety initiatives as assigned.
• Collaborate with production team members and assist where needed to meet operational goals.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity, including:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds overhead occasionally and 45 pounds frequently.
• Ability to visually inspect products and identify defects.
• Working around moving equipment and manufacturing machinery.
