Job summary

Indiana University Health in Plainfield, IN is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support fulfillment requisitions, inventory management, and receiving in a fast-paced distribution center. You will operate robotic goods and conveyor systems to assist picking and ensure accurate receipt of materials.

This role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and potential mandatory overtime, on-call rotations, and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience required.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Material Handling Certification may be required.
• Standing 100% of the time and up to 90% walking.
• Lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist; push/pull pallets over 800 pounds.

Overview

Hours: Monday - Friday 10a to 6:30p with a chance of daily mandatory overtime

Onsite: 390 Air Tech Pkwy – Plainfield, IN 46168

Facilitates fulfillment requisitions, inventory management, receiving and projects in a fast paced, challenging and physically demanding role in accordance with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Operates robotic goods to person picking and conveyor automation in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures accurate and timely receipt of materials within the distribution center. Receives inbound freight with precision, assures the assigned time for daily priorities is met, and communicates and resolves discrepancies. Unloads, receives and stages all inbound materials accurately and efficiently. Effectively utilizes the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to document all receiving activity including Purchase Order (PO) Stock items, PO Nonstock items, and Non-PO items. Uses carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items throughout the distribution center. Safely and securely loads all outbound trailers to meet daily dock out times. May handle documents that are highly confidential.

Requirements

• Requires long periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching.


• Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist: lift up to 20 pounds from waist to head.


• Requires the ability to push or pull pallets utilizing manual pallet jacks weighing in excess of 800 pounds.


• Requires mandatory overtime on heavy days.


• May require on-call rotation, weekend coverage, and operating a company vehicle.
