Job summary

Performance Health in Indianapolis is seeking a driven Material Handler to move product safely and efficiently within the distribution center. You will stock pick locations, operate the WMS tool, and ensure correct quantities and labeling.

Must be certified to operate Reach Truck and/or Order Picker for 75% of the shift; you will cycle count, rotate stock for FIFO, and maintain inventory accuracy while keeping work areas neat and compliant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of distribution experience.
• Strong computer knowledge and experience.
• Ability to obtain OSHA approved forklift operation license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills.
• Previous Material Handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks pick locations and moves material using the WMS tool.
• Verify correct quantity and product per the WMS.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure materials are available.
• Perform cycle counts to verify inventory.
• Puts away finished stock for shipment to required locations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Rotate materials to meet FIFO requirements.
• Label raw materials with required information.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and update paperwork.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when certified 75% of shift.

Job description

Performance Health is looking for energetic, collaborative team members to join our team in Indianapolis. Bring your ideas, solutions and desire to serve customers to our growing Distribution team. Working within a team, the Material Handler is responsible for the safe moving of product to a desired location and completes all assigned tasks productively with a high regard for quality. Must be certified and consistently operate a Reach Truck and/or Order Picker 75% of shift daily.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Stocks pick locations, pick orders via WMS tool, and moves any other material as needed
• Proper picks the correct quantity and product per the WMS tool
• Collaborate with the Supervisor of the different functional areas to determine the work centers wants and needs to ensure adequate materials are available
• Verifies proper inventory at work centers by cycle counting
• Puts away finished stock for shipment in to the required locations within the DC
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Rotate incoming and existing materials to ensure FIFO requirements
• Ensures all raw materials are labeled properly with appropriate required information
• Organize and maintain the accuracy of inventory
• Maintain and update necessary paperwork
• Maintains the DC in a neat, clean and orderly condition
• Operates pallet jacks and forklifts as and when needed but must be certified and operate Reach and/or Order Picker 75% of daily shift
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspectionsPerforms other duties as assigned
