Job summary

Structura, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse/Inventory Associate in Overland Park, KS. You will receive, verify, and store materials, and ensure accurate inventory records while supporting production and shipping.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and inspect shipments against documentation.
  • Record inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Store materials in designated locations and stage for production.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Support shipping by preparing, labeling, and staging outbound shipments.
  • Assist cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, and shipping teams.
  • Follow safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Receive incoming materials, supplies, and products from vendors and carriers.
  • Verify received shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, quantity discrepancies, and compliance with quality requirements.
  • Accurately record and process inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse or inventory locations following established procedures.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials for production, manufacturing, or customer job orders.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks while following company safety procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Support shipping operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and staging outbound shipments.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficient material flow.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with purchasing, production, quality, and shipping departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications -

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, material handling, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Experience using inventory management or ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, packing slips, and shipping documents.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment for extended periods.
  • Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
