Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Material Handler in San Diego, CA to support shipping, receiving and stock control. You will assemble orders, verify contents against packing slips, prepare documents for carriers and help maintain accurate inventory in the warehouse.

This role requires 1–2 years in shipping/stockroom, basic math and English skills, and the ability to operate scales and a forklift. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of shipping & stockroom experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication in English.
  • Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer skills and use of scales - shipping, packing, weighing equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment, recording shipping data.
  • Follows shipping policy and prepares carrier shipment documents (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  • Follows receiving procedures for incoming materials.
  • Verifies information against packing slips and purchase orders; counts items and notes discrepancies.
  • Enters incoming receipts of materials in the database and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintains accuracy of stockroom inventory and kits work orders to fill shortages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
