Job summary

U.S. Lumber Group, an SBP Brand, is seeking a Material Handler in Northern Kentucky to support receiving, movement, shipping and production tasks. The role focuses on accuracy, safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, adhere to safety guidelines, and contribute to process improvements while assisting with inventory control and staging for shipments.

Responsibilities

• Receive, audit, inspect, identify and store incoming materials.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Record movements in inventory system as materials are moved.
• Assist production areas when not moving materials.
• Ensure materials meet quality standards.
• Notify supervisor of process improvements.
• Move pallets and stage products for shipping.
• Load finished products onto trucks per direction.
• Follow forklift, safety and quality guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A Material Handler performs a number of different and important responsibilities including material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
• Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
• Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
• Assists assigning production areas when not moving materials
• Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
• Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
• Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
• Stage completed and stretch wrapped products into shipping staging lanes by loads
• Load trucks with finished products per direction of Warehouse/ Operations Manager
• Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
