# Material HandlerApply**Job#: 3046257****Job Description:**Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE **Material Handling Supervisor** for our client based out of **Macungie, PA**.This assignment is anticipated to be a **12‐month contract** with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.This will also have a first‐shift Monday–Friday schedule.Responsibilities:* Lead and coordinate daily material handling operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout the facility.* Oversee inventory control, receiving, storage, shipping, material replenishment, and production support activities.* Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer requirements while maintaining inventory accuracy.* Supervise and develop a team of material handling associates through coaching, training, mentoring, and performance management.* Establish daily priorities and allocate resources to meet operational objectives.* Monitor operational metrics and utilize data to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost performance.* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.* Identify operational risks and proactively resolve issues before they impact production or customer commitments.* Maintain effective communication across departments, shifts, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and execution of priorities.* Implement and sustain standardized processes and best practices across material handling operations.* Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.Experience:* **2+ years of experience** in material handling, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain supervision.* Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or production environment.* Experience managing receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material flow operations.* Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and production support activities.* Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive operational performance.* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to make data‐driven decisions.* Excellent communication and organizational skills.* Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast‐paced environment.* Experience utilizing operational metrics and KPI reporting to drive improvements.* Strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.Nice to Have:* Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Logistics, or continuous improvement methodologies.* Experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.* Experience supporting multi‐shift operations.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
