Apex Systems is seeking an onsite Business Development Manager for Strategic Supplier Partnerships & Circular Programs in Greensboro, NC. This 12‑month contract role focuses on cross-functional collaboration across procurement, engineering, quality, and operations to align on long-term business objectives.

You will drive supplier engagement, governance, and regional strategies, while delivering executive‑level recommendations and value creation initiatives for lifecycle value and future growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain, or related commercial functions.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple functions and business units.
• Experience developing business cases, strategic recommendations, and executive presentations.
• Strong understanding of supplier relationship management, governance processes, and cross-functional business operations.
• Experience driving initiatives that improve operational performance, supplier engagement, or long-term business value.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business situations and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple priorities and competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between purchasing, business units, and strategic supplier partners to drive alignment on long-term business objectives.
