Job summary

Ridgecorp is seeking a Material Handler in Ohio to manage material flow, stock receipts, and production support. You will work with production, purchasing, shipping, and receiving to ensure accurate material handling in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualified candidates have forklift certification, experience with RF systems, and a HS diploma. The role includes shifts with breaks, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Qualifications

  • Experience with material handling and general warehouse practices.
  • Two months job related experience required, including operating Material Handling equipment.
  • Forklift operation certification required within 90 days.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures including OSHA.

Responsibilities

  • Use RF and material handling equipment to stock received products.
  • Replenish machine centers using material handling equipment and RF.
  • Operate equipment with required certification and load/unload materials.
  • Process RF receipts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts and receiving inspections.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Contribute to process improvements and assist where needed.

Job description

Job Title:Material Handler

Location:Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule:Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:45am OT Friday 2:15pm-10:45pm

  • (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay Rate:Starting up to $19.25/hr (*10% Shift Differential=$21.18/hr)

Job Summary:

Candidatemust have experience with material handling and general warehouse practices. Duties will include handling all types of material coming into and going out of the manufacturing plant; ensuring that materials are placed in their proper location; gathering and staging material for production lines; moving finished goods from production to appropriate location or loading for shipment. Previous work experience in a fast paced industrial environment is required. The person selected will be working directly with production, purchasing, shipping, and receiving personnel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Uses Radio Frequency (RF) and variety of material handling equipment to stock receipt of manufactured and purchased products. Unloads, loads, and stages purchased product and manufactured product receipts.
  • Replenishes machine centers using a variety of material handling equipment and RF.
  • Operates variety of material handling equipment with appropriate certification. Load and unload material from pallet racking
  • Uses Radio Frequency (RF) equipment to process and validate receipt of product for inventory accuracy.
  • Familiar and able to conduct cycle counts, physical inventory and receiving inspection
  • Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology
  • Makes recommendations to continually improve processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma / GED preferred.
  • Two months job related experience required, including operating Material Handling equipment.
  • Warehouse management systems experience preferred with ability to perform RF functions.
  • Forklift operation certification required. Must be acquired on the job within 90 days
  • Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures.
  • Crane experience helpful but not required
  • Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.

Workplace Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
  • Ability to use Power Tools safely
