Wieland is hiring Material Handlers. The Material Handler will be responsible for operating forklift and other equipment. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $18 per hour (Additional pay levels are available for those interested in progressing.)

Schedule: 12-hour Day and Night shifts available (2-2-3 schedule)

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Responsibilities

Material Handler Responsibilities:

Handle materials in a safe and orderly manner
• Work with team members to meet set goals
• Performs daily inspections of assigned areas
• Responsibilities include housekeeping duties throughout the department.
• Organize assigned areas in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes etc.
• Maintains inventory levels by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Conducts safety audit of equipment at the beginning of each shift
• Removes scrap from work areas and delivers scrap to appropriate area for recycling.
• Assists other departments and maintenance when necessary.

Material Handler Qualifications:

• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and to use good judgement in recognizing scope of responsibilities.
• Attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
