Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a Material Handler to ensure continuous production by supplying product and materials to Packaging and shipping finished goods to Warehouse. The role requires forklift operation, lifting up to 55 lbs continuously and pushing/pulling 100+ lbs, with 8+ hour shifts and 5 days a week.

Responsibilities include moving product, stacking, paperwork, and adhering to safety and sanitation rules. Benefits include a comprehensive package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate blending equipment and scales.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move product between departments.
• Supply empty pallets and materials to packing lines to keep them running.
• Assist in stacking, loading boxes/bags, and palletizing as needed.
• Assist in dumping of product and handling heavy loads (100+ lbs).
• Assist as packer operator as needed and complete required paperwork.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and keep area clean.

Job description

The material handler is responsible for supplying product and materials to Packaging in order to keep lines running, and sending finished goods to Warehouse for shipping.

General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate Forklift to move product from Blending to Packaging and from Packaging to Warehouse.
• Supply empty pallets and materials to pack lines as needed to keep packing lines operating.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet. Requires lifting up to 25 – 55 lbs. continuously.
• Required to assist in dumping of product at deck as needed. Requires pushing/pulling 100+ lbs.
• Required to assist as packer operator as needed.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Follows safety & sanitation rules
• Keeps area and department clean

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Pay Range: $20.76 - $31.13 Hourly

Requirements:

Drives Forklift a majority of the day. Must pass Forklift Certification requirements. Some standing, Lifting and moving product is required. Job requires Physical Stamina to work 8+ hours shifts, an average of 5 days a week

Requires eye-hand coordination, ability to operate fork lift equipment and physical stamina to lift and carry product. Must be able to work in area with heavy concentration of ingredients/aroma/air borne dust particles.
