TITLE: MATERIAL HANDLERFLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPTA SHIFT: MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY FROM 6:00 AM-6:00 PMREPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER, OPERATIONS SUPPORTSUMMARY:Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Operations Support, the Material Handler is responsible for completing the Asset Tracking System (ATS) forms for equipment/tool repairs or cleaning; reviewing and issuing credits for material transfers; performing research and identifying sources for new or alternate suppliers for parts or equipment; preparing and pulling Preventative Maintenance (PM) kits for scheduled tool maintenance; tracking, monitoring, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels; and organizing, issuing, and monitoring purchase requisitions. This position is located in Milpitas, California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reviews and completes ATS forms for equipment/tool repairs or cleaningReviews and issues credits for material transfers, including tracking and issuing purchase requisitions and responding to inquiries from other teams or departments as to the status of ordersPerforms research and sources new or alternate suppliers for parts or equipment; recommends appropriate actionPrepares and pulls PM kits for both scheduled and unscheduled tool/equipment maintenanceTracks, monitors, and receives parts and/or materials to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained consistentlyUnpacks parts or materials and verifies them against work orders, purchase orders, invoices, return authorizations, or other documentationPerforms cycle counts, transaction audits, and investigates and resolves material discrepanciesResponds to inquiries from employees, managers, and other departmentsLoads and unloads materials, parts, or other inventory items using a forklift and/or pallet jackAdheres to all safety policies and proceduresPerforms other duties of a similar nature or levelMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GEDThree years of experience working as a Material Handler or Production Control SpecialistKnowledge of kitting, pulling, and staging partsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office ApplicationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of material handling, pulling or kitting parts, and maintaining parts inventoriesKnowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentationsKnowledge of shipping and receiving and the ability to receive and ship various types of materials, parts, and other inventory when requiredAble to track, monitor, and source parts or tools to maintain appropriate inventoryAble to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, management, and vendorsAble to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and managementAble to comply with all safety policies and proceduresDemonstrated ability to exhibit tact and professionalism at all timesDemonstrated ability to follow complex verbal or written instructionsDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skillsFlexible and able to prioritizeThe hourly rate for this full-time position is between $20.00-$27.13 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The hourly pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.WORKING CONDITIONS:The Material Handler works primarily in an indoor environment on A shift which is Monday thru Wednesday and every other Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed; may be required to pick up parts or inventory from local suppliers or vendors. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to load/unload parts or materials; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other safety and office equipment.
