Alto-Shaam, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Materials Management professional to support inbound receiving and point-of-use delivery in Manufacturing. You may operate powered industrial vehicles and contribute to a customer-focused mindset.

This role involves unloading, inventory updates in ERP, organizing storage to 6S standards, and collaborating with the team to meet safety and process requirements.

Qualifications

• General understanding of material handling.
• Basic computer skills.
• Powered industrial vehicle certification.
• ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, verify, receive, and put away bulk material and packages.
• Gather material, fill bins, and deliver to point of use locations.
• Transfer materials from process area to assembly area.
• Complete all ERP inventory transactions using mobile device or computer.
• Maintain material storage areas to 6S standard.
• Escalate to area leader when safety, quality or process standards cannot be met.
• Recommend safety or process improvement ideas using CI tools.
• Comply with policies, quality standards, and safety/regulatory requirements.

Job Description

A day in the life:

This entry-level Materials Management role performs all tasks from inbound material receiving to point-of-use delivery in Manufacturing. This individual may be physically active, operate powered industrial vehicles and have a customer-oriented mindset.

• Unload, verify, receive, and put away bulk material and packages
• Gather material, fill bins, and deliver to point of use locations
• Transfer materials from process area to assembly area
• Complete all ERP inventory transactions using mobile device or computer
• Maintain material storage areas to 6S standard
• Escalate to area leader when any safety, quality or process standard cannot be met
• Recommend safety or process improvement ideas using internal CI submission tool
• Comply with all policies/procedures, quality standards, and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Work independently or as a team to satisfy internal customer demand
• Understand and comply with all ISO documentation/policies
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, quality standards and safety/regulatory requirements
• Must be powered industrial vehicle certified
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• General understanding of material handling
• Basic computer skills
• Powered industrial vehicle certification
• ERP experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Consistently lift and move packages, boxes, bins, and skids of material.
• Frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Lift up to 40 pounds
