Job summary

A leading dietary supplement manufacturer in Henderson, Nevada is seeking a MATERIAL HANDLER to oversee the receiving and movement of raw materials and finished products during manufacturing. The role involves maintaining inventory, ensuring material specifications, and complying with safety and quality standards. Job description

What You’ll Do

As the MATERIAL HANDLER, you’ll be responsible for the receiving and movement of raw materials, Work‑in‑Process and finished product during the manufacturing process.

Other Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Supplies raw materials as directed for scaling, blending, and mixing
  • Verifies the materials/ingredients coming into the scaling, blending and mixing areas are correct in specification, quantity, and quality as called for by the production Job
  • Supplies all packaging materials needed for packing finished product
  • Transports and stages work‑in‑process as directed
  • Transports finished product as directed
  • Maintain proper and accurate inventory management of raw materials, packaging and finished product movements
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow directions, be trained on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanship
  • Maintain neat, concise and accurate records as required
  • Perform other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Work Environment
  • A large percentage of the time is spent in the production area where noise level can be moderate to high
  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke‑free manufacturing environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • 6 plus months working in a food manufacturing environment or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow directions given, understand Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanship.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees in various positions and at all levels.
  • Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands and occasionally with short notice.
  • Excellent problem solving.
  • Basic familiarity with computerized systems and basic software application.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach for extended periods
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Push/Pull up to 300 lbs
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack (manual and/or electric)
