Job summary

Kettle Cuisine in Lynn, MA is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to keep our inventory and material flow running safely and efficiently. This role supports production by moving materials, scanning transactions, and ensuring accurate counts.

You will work a 2nd shift, adhere to GMP and HCAPP guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement through teamwork and safe practices. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

  • Able to work under pressure while following safety procedures.
  • Experience in warehouse and manufacturing, preferably food industry.
  • Experience in temperature-controlled settings and inventory handling.
  • Understanding of inventory concept and stock transactions.
  • Experience performing inventory transactions via scan gun.
  • Proficient with computers and scanning devices.
  • Ability to operate pallet jack or forklift safely.
  • Goal oriented and well organized with attention to detail.
  • Willing to work all scheduled shifts and be on time.
  • Bilingual or English speaking required.

Responsibilities

  • Always adhere to safe working practices.
  • Retrieve and scan out raw materials from coolers, freezer, and warehouse to production rooms.
  • Track completed transactions via Material Requirements Report.
  • End of shift hand-off to the next shift.
  • Plan activities to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes.
  • Take instructions from supervisors and support new team members.

Job Summary

Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the material handling and issuing process, as well as all subsequent inventory transactions under a very demanding environment

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Always adhere to safe working practices
  • Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them to your manager
  • Retrieve and scan out raw materials from coolers, freezer, and warehouse to production rooms
  • Communicate and resolve LPN variances
  • Always Follow the company GMP'S and HCAPP guidelines
  • Ensure clean and tidy work areas including the Inspections and surveillance of all packing and storage conditions
  • Plan all activities to reduce downtime
  • Track completed transactions via Material Requirements Report
  • Complete cycle-counts when required
  • Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes
  • Take active lead with new employees and temporary labor
  • Encourage colleagues to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
  • Take instructions from supervisors
  • Any other tasks deemed reasonable and requested by management
  • Communicate an end of shift / Hand-off to the next shift
  • End of shift clean and equipment check
Required Skills
  • Able to work under pressure all the time, responding on a fast manner following safety procedures
  • Warehouse & Manufacturing experience preferably in the food industry
  • Experience working in temperature-controlled settings
  • Understands Inventory at a conceptual level
  • Experience performing inventory transactions via scan gun
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack / forklift

Pay Range for Warehouse Material Handler

The Warehouse Material Handler base pay range $19 USD + shift differential/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine's good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. The Warehouse Material Handler position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 5%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
