Job summary

Kettle Cuisine in Lynn, MA is seeking a Bulk Filling Machine Operator to support our production line on the 1st shift. This role focuses on safe and efficient operation to meet customer demands and quality standards.

You will follow HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs, work with perishable ingredients, and operate filling machinery with attention to yield and waste. Training is provided if needed, and a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts on time and weekends as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; proven safe-working practices.
• Manufacturing experience in food industry preferred; training available if needed.
• Experience with temperature-controlled environments and perishable items.
• Experience operating filling machinery (2 years) or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
• Follow HACCP and maintain compliance with rules.
• Operate filling machines according to recipes and orders.
• Check machine function and report issues to supervisor or maintenance.
• Ensure correct cup size and materials for customers.
• Perform daily area checks for non-compliance and report.
• Ensure finished product conforms to specifications.
• Manufacture quality products efficiently within time and quantity.
• Follow GMPs and keep production area clean.
• Report downtime to maintenance promptly.
• Communicate issues to relevant parties and monitor waste.
• Manage inventory of materials like cups and film.

Job Summary

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the production line to meet customer requirements in accordance with Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Quantity and Cost. (SSQQC)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe working practices at all times
• Follow the HACPP and make sure all rules are followed to the letter
• Operate the machine base on recipe, and orders following paper work
• Check and make sure that the machine is functioning properly otherwise report to supervisor or Maintenance
• Ensure that the correct cup is used for each costumers, fresh frozen and the correct size etc.
• Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them to your supervisor
• Ensure finished product conforms to specifications
• Manufacture quality products efficiently within time and quantity parameters
• Follow the company GMP’s
• Ensure clean and tidy production area at all times
• Report Downtime to maintenance in a timely manner
• Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes (low yields, etc.)
• Monitor and action all waste
• Manage inventory of material like cups film etc.
• Take instructions from supervisors.
• Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management

Required Skills

• Ability to work all scheduled shifts, on time
• Ability to work weekends as requested per the manager/supervisor
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment
• Proven track record in safe working practices
• Manufacturing experience preferred (preferably in the food industry)
• Experience working in temperature controlled settings
• Experience with perishable items
• Experience working with filling machinery 2 years
• Experience preferred if not we will do training

Pay Range for Bulk Filling Machine Operator

The Bulk Filling Machine Operator base pay range $20 USD plus shift differential/hourly. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
