Job summary

The Taylor Defense Products, LLC, part of The Taylor Group Inc., is seeking a full-time Material Handler in Louisville, MS 39339. You will receive, identify, box and store service parts, and support production by retrieving parts as needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring parts are serialized, setting up storage locations, maintaining cleanliness, and verifying shipments with correct addresses and carrier types. Forklift and overhead crane operation required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a forklift are required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, identifies, boxes, and stores service parts in an orderly manner.
• Retrieves parts as directed by production line and ensures serialization.
• Assists supervisor in setting up new storage locations and maintains cleanliness.
• Reviews shipments for accuracy and assigns correct shipment type (UPS, 2nd day, ground, etc.).
• Operates equipment such as Forklift and Overhead Crane.
• Keeps inventory organized and ensures blasting booth is kept full.

Duties/Responsibilities

• As assigned by supervisor, receives, identifies, boxes, and stores service parts in an orderly manner.
• Retrieves parts as directed by production line. Ensure all parts are serialized. Places parts in correct location.
• Assists supervisor in setting up new storage locations and helps to maintain cleanliness and order in these locations.
• Reviews parts before shipment to include right number of parts in the shipment, addresses are correct, all comments on order are fulfilled, and correct type of shipment is assigned to the package (UPS, 2nd day, ground, etc.)
• Operates equipment such as Forklift, Overhead Crane, etc.
• Pulls and puts parts up at Inventory.
• Keep the blasting booth full.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of Taylor Parts System preferred
• Must be able to operator Forklift

Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Three years of job experience or equivalent in demonstrated experience and ability.
