Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Material Handler in Largo, FL to support production by staging and delivering materials for efficient workflow on the floor. The role runs on the second shift with a $16.00 hourly rate and is full-time, temp-to-hire.

You will move pallets, use scanners to set orders, and help maintain pallet flow from receiving through production. This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of recent warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and manual pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise from trucks (by hand).
• Inspect product quantities and colors of items for order verification.
• Identify orders on verified pallets and bring them to the Production Floor.

Job description

MATERIAL HANDLER

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Material Handler for a company based in Largo, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production operations by ensuring materials and verified orders are accurately staged and delivered, playing a key role in maintaining an efficient workflow on the production floor.

Pay Rate

$16.00 per hour, second shift

Schedule and Hours

3:30-12:00 am, Monday-Friday

Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise from trucks (by hand)
• Inspect product quantities and colors of items brought for order verification.
• Identifies orders on verified pallets and brings them to the Production Floor.
• Maintains pallet flow of orders to production floor.
• Move wooden pallets to shipping areas using pallet jacks.
• Use scanner device to properly set orders in the correct location systematically.

Material Handler Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of recent warehouse experience
• Able to work in fast-paced warehouse environment– high heat and cold temperatures.
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and manual pallet jack
• Able to lift 50lbs repetitively (lifting test will be provided)

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
