Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a 1st shift Material Handler to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment on the warehouse floor. You will operate a forklift, load and unload trucks, pick and pack orders, and perform cycle counts while following safety and company procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, forklift experience, basic math, and basic computer skills. Pre-employment drug testing applies.

Job SummaryResponsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.Job DescriptionWe are hiring a 1st shift Material Handler to work in our new Grand Rapids warehouse. Pay $21- $25 per hour to start.Key Accountabilities:Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.Completes cycle Counts.Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.Performs general clean up.Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
