Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Franksville, WI is seeking a Material Handler to support receiving, packing and shipping of inventory and to ensure materials are staged for production. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Procurement & Logistics Manager in the Logistics department.

The position requires attention to detail, GMP knowledge, and experience with Microsoft Office. Forklift or hand truck use is required to move goods safely within the facility and ensure accurate paperwork and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1-3 years of receiving experience
• 1-3 years of packing and shipping experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Responsibilities

• Handles all materials in a safe and orderly manner according to product requirements and SOPs within specified time periods independently.
• Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages accurately.
• Load and unload goods from trucks manually and by use of hand trucks and/or forklift
• Pulls, weighs and delivers material from exact batch numbers for production with 100% accuracy.
• Employ inventory control methods to ensure accurate counts at all times
• Record identifying product information into company database
• Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation to final destination with 100% accuracy

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Material Handler will support the organization by receiving all inventory, packing, and shipping orders and providing outstanding customer service. They are a key player in the production team by ensuring that all material is staged appropriately for use in the production schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.

• Handles all materials in a safe and orderly manner according to product requirements and standard operating procedures within specified time periods independently.
• Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages accurately. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
• Load and unload goods from trucks manually and by use of hand trucks and/or forklift
• Pulls, weighs and delivers material from exact batch numbers for production with 100% accuracy.
• Employ inventory control methods to ensure accurate counts at all times
• Record identifying product information into company database
• Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation to final destination with 100% accuracy

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of receiving experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
