Job summary

Sewer Equipment in Dixon, IL, is seeking a Material Handler to accurately transfer products with a forklift, moving items into and out of the facility in a timely manner. The role requires 1–2 years forklift experience and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Day shift is Monday–Thursday 6:30 am–5:00 pm. The pay range is $17.03 to $22.14 per hour, with a quarterly productivity bonus and a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Salary Range: $17.03 To $22.14 Annually

Sewer Equipment provides the highest quality and most innovative sewer cleaning products for the municipal and contractor market.

The Material Handler is responsible to accurately transfer products with a forklift, both physically and logically, into and/or out of the facility in a timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
• Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
• Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
• Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
• When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors.
• Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to accounting department.
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• 1-2 years' Forklift experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside of the warehouse.
