Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of material handling experience preferred.
• Experience in a 3PL environment preferred.

Job description

The Material Handler I position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks. Daily use of a sit down forklift is required. Forklift used will range from 5,000lb to 30,000lb lift. This position will maintain a safe and clean workspace.

Primary Job Duties:

Load and unload material from trucks.

Operate sit down forklift.

Proactively communicate issues and work together with Supervisor to identify process improvements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity, quality and cost.

Understand and follow all ISO and 5S initiatives.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals.

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skill.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

1 year of material handling experience preferred

Experience in third-party logistics (3PL) environment preferred

Shifts: 1st Shift

Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/HR
