Job summary

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation in Dallas, TX seeks a Material Handler to perform production replenishments, pick orders for production, and deliver materials to work centers with accuracy.

You will operate forklifts and scanning equipment, perform daily inspections, cycle counts, and maintain organized storage while promoting a safe workplace; prior warehouse experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of warehouse experience.
• Experience with warehouse safety, shipping/receiving, and cycle counts.
• Familiarity with forklift, pallet jack, and lifting/stacking equipment.
• Proficient data entry and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of production drop zones, part numbers and locations.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for production and deliver to correct department.
• Operate handheld scanner and deliver materials to the floor.
• Inspect forklifts daily and perform on-spot checks.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and report results accurately.
• Maintain organized storage and pallet consolidation.
• Promote safety and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Job description

Department: Distribution Center Operations

Location: Dallas, TX

Description

The Material Handler performs production replenishments of parts and supplies accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for picking orders for production and delivering those orders to the appropriate department in a timely manner
• Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and accurately delivers materials to the production floor
• Reviews pick list and picks appropriate material for specific work centers
• Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment
• Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and performs on-spot checking
• Performs daily cycle count checks and accurately report results
• Responsible for putting away incoming material to appropriate stocking locations
• Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles
• Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
