Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking a Material Handler in Georgia to efficiently receive, put away, pick, and ship products using our warehouse systems and equipment including forklifts and handheld scanners.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintain accuracy, and contribute to meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Training is provided, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• No degree required; relevant skills and experience welcomed.
• Experience in distribution environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking using handheld devices and forklift.
• Sort and consolidate picked items for shipment processing.
• Pack products securely using internal systems.
• Bundle and verify orders for shipment and operate bundler system.
• Unload deliveries from trailers or containers with forklift or by hand.
• Use ERP to receive inventory and place in storage racking.
• Move palletized products to organize receiving dock.
• Scan and place inventory in racks using forklift and handheld scanner.
• Operate warehouse equipment following safety protocols.

Material Handlers are given extensive training for success in their position and cross-training opportunities may be required. We offer on-site training and mentoring for all positions. SHIFT SCHEDULE & WAGE

• Monday-Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Starting wage is $20.00/hr and a potential of up to $0.88 in raises every 6 months

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure order accuracy, and operate the bundler system
• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the distribution center
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

• 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
