Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for production and deliver to the appropriate department.

• Review pick lists and select materials for specific work centers.
• Operate forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks and other loading/stacking equipment.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and on-spot checks.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and report results; put away incoming materials to stocking locations.
• Maintain organized warehouse storage and clean aisles.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Material Handler

Department: Distribution Center Operations

Location: Dallas, TX

Description

The Material Handler performs production replenishments of parts and supplies accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for picking orders for production and delivering those orders to the appropriate department in a timely manner
• Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and accurately delivers materials to the production floor
• Reviews pick list and picks appropriate material for specific work centers
• Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment
• Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and performs on-spot checking
• Performs daily cycle count checks and accurately report resultsResponsible for putting away incoming material to appropriate stocking locations
• Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles
• Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
