Staffmark Group is hiring for a Material Handler in Buffalo Grove, IL. The role focuses on safe material handling, warehouse support, and ensuring inventory moves accurately and timely.

Pay is $22.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule. Key duties include receiving and inspecting shipments, labeling and packing, processing shipping documents, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining inventory records in a computerized system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• 3-6 years of material handling, shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with computerized inventory and recordkeeping systems.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare, package, label, and process materials for shipment.
• Complete shipping documentation, bills of lading, and inventory records.
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy and safe handling.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment.
• Transport materials, equipment, supplies, and inventory throughout the facility.
• Perform vehicle and equipment inspections and follow all safety regulations.
• Utilize inventory management and computerized tracking systems.
• Assist with stock replenishment, material organization, and inventory control.
• Train and support team members as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
