Staffmark Group is hiring a Material Handler in Channahon, IL for 1st or 2nd shift. Pay rate is $20.00–$20.75 per hour with Monday–Friday schedule. Duties include packaging orders, handling materials safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure timely inventory movement.

Location: Channahon, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $20.75 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday

• 1st shift: 6:00 am-2:00 pm
• 2nd shift: 2:30 pm-10:30 pm

Job Duties

• Package customer orders accurately and safely
• Including verifying items
• Manually move products, pack, and prepare orders for shipment

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Ability to identify and locate product, which requires reading, counting, and printing.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
