Staffmark Group in Bolingbrook, IL is hiring a Material Handler to unload, move, and organize materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role supports receiving and shipping operations, helping ensure inventory moves to the correct location on time.

Shifts available include 1st shift (Mon-Fri or Sun-Thu) 6:00 AM–2:30 PM at $17.00/hr and 2nd shift (Mon-Fri) 6:00 PM–2:30 AM at $19.00/hr, with overtime requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience
• Ability to perform operations using units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments

Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places on pallets or shelves, or conveys order to packing station or shipping department

• 1st Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM ($17.00/hr)
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM-2:30 AM ($19.00/hr)

• Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
• Ability to use hands, sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk or hear
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments
